Habitat and Description:
Distributed in south Texas and N. Tamaulipas, Mexico. A trailing, ascending perennial shrub on waste grounds. Alluvial soils, flowers are on the ascending stems, white, with faint odor. Leaves are trifoliolate, rather thin, dark green. Fruit an edible berry, that ripens in March and April. Roots are woody. Frequent in the lower Rio Grande Valley.
