Habitat and Description: Locally common in very shallow Potter soils and outcrops of Ogalalla Formation. Associates include Aristida fendleriana, Bouteloua gracilis, B. curtipendula, Ephedra torreyana, Juniperus cf. monosperma, Lesquerella ovalifolia, Lithospermum incisum, Penstemon albidus, Polygala alba, Quercus mohriana, Sophora nuttalliana, Stipa neomexicana, Thelesperma filifolium.
