Habitat and Description: Limestone outcrops with xeric thorn scrub. Geology: Jackson Group (Eocene). Soils: Jimenez-Quemado (Ustollic Paleorthids, Petrocalcic Ustalfic Paleargids). Common shrubs include Acacia rigidula, Condalia hookeri, Jatropha dioica, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Krameria ramosissima, and Leucophyllum frutescens. Herbaceous associates include Dyssodia pentachaeta, Melampodium cinereum, Parthenium confertum, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Synthlipsis gregii, Thamnosma texana, and Menodora heterophylla. Flowers yellow, stems decumbent.
