Habitat and Description:
Distributed in South Texas, a low diffuse annual herb with perennial roots on gravel hills and clay loam soil. Flowers are in a compact raceme, blue, odorless. Leaves are pinnate, the leaflets are oblong-spathulate. Fruit a small capsule. Bark green, roots woody. Frequent in Hidalgo and Starr Counties on top of gravel hills.
