Habitat and Description:
A low diffuse perennial herb distributed in SW Texas. Gravel hills on soil clay. Flowers in loose terminal spikes, purple. Leaves axillary, pinnate, 5 to 7 leaflets. Roots perennial. Very abundant on hills in Starr County. The roots are a golden yellow color.
