Locality: United States, Texas, Hidalgo, North of San Manuel in Hidalgo County, bordering Highway 281. Elev. 50 m.
Habitat and Description: Distributed in Southern Texas, an annual, prostrate herb with perennial roots. Sandy loam soil. Flowers are in axillary clusters, salmon red, odorless. Leaves pinnate, about 6 leaflets in pairs 1 odd. Fruit a linear pod, bark green, roots perennial. Occasional. The plant is distributed throughout the lower Rio Grande Valley.
