Habitat and Description:
Low, spreading, prostrate, ascending annual or perennial herb on open grounds. Clay-loam soil. Flowers axillary, rotate, bent backward, yellow, with light green center. Leaves alternate, subsessile, oblong-spathulate, globose, covered with the hirsute calyx. Wide-ranged, scattered throughout the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas.
