Habitat and Description:
Distributed in South Texas, a prostrate annual herb with perennial roots, on open clay ground with clay soil. Flowers axillary on long pedicels, yellow. Leaves lanceolate, lobed, tapering at base. Fruit globose, green, perennial, abundant, occurring in early spring. [Annotation label states specimen is intermediate between var. coronopus and var. coniodes.].
