Habitat and Description: Along or near the coast, an erect, decumbent annual herb on sandy ground or sand dunes, sand soil. Flowers axillary on long pedicels, yellow, odorless. Leaves oblong-spathulate, tapering to a short petiole. Fruit a globose berry. Bark pale green, roots perennial. Frequent, bordering the sea shore or in sandy soil near the coast.
