Habitat and Description:
Known from Starr & Hidalgo Counties, an annual prostrate herb on gravel hillsides and flats, and clay soil. Flowers are from the upper leaves, blue-purple, odorless. Leaves oblong in outline, scolloped in edge. Fruit a small berry; bark pale green, roots perennial. Occasional; it occurs in Hidalgo and Starr Counties, rarely in Cameron County.
