Habitat and Description:
Common, colonial in clay of small seasonally wet depressions on forested uplands. Associates include Echinodorus cordifolius, Saururus cernuus, Hygrophila lacustris, Boehmeria cylindrica, Hydrocotyle verticillata, Carex lupulina, C. crus-corvi, Justicia lanceolata, scattered Carya aquatica, Forestiera acuminata, Vitis palmata.
