Habitat and Description: Habit: stout grass in large tufts. Habitat: sandy flats near coast. Perennial. Soil: sand. Flowers: terminal, 1 to 3 spikes. Color: greenish. Leaves: bluish green, erect, smooth. Abundant on the Island but not seen on the mainland.
