Habitat and Description:
Rare on 1-3 ft. wide islands of sphagnum and other bog species "floating" (actually tethered to bottom by longer roots of one or two small shrubs) on surface of N half of large pond. Associates include Alnus serrulata, Itea virginica, Myrica sp., Ascyrum stans, Scutellaria integrifolia, Xyris sp., Triadenum sp., Carex glaucescens, Ludwigia pilosa, Lobelia reverchonii, Fuirena sp., Centella asiatica, Erianthus giganteus, Lycopus rubellus, Calopogon sp., or Pogonia ophioglossoides.
