Habitat and Description: Occasional in shallow gravelly clay or clay loam over Uvalde Gravel, regularly mown grassland on level upland. Associates include Acalypha hederacea, Allium drummondii, Amblyolepis setigera, Aristida purpurea, Bouteloua trifida, Calylophus hartwegii, Chamaesyce acuta, Engelmannia pinnatifida, Gaillardia suavis, Gilia rigidula, Hymenoxys scaposa, Lesquerella fendleri, Linum rigidum, Machaeranthera pinnatifida, Melampodium cinereum, Menodora heterphylla, Nyctaginea capitata, Oxalis dichondrifolia, Pinaropappus roseus, Psilostrophe gnaphalioides, Salvia texana.
