Habitat and Description: Rare in dry gravel, sand, and caliche of unshaded roadbed, recently bladed road through xeric thorn shrubland. Herbaceous associates include Argythamnia humilis, Chamaesyce laredana, C. serpens, Dalea pogonathera, Florestina tripteris, Lepidium lasiocarpum var. rotundum, Melampodium cinereum, Nama hispidum, Nicotiana repanda, N. trigonophylla, Oligomeris linifolia, Parthenium hysterophorus, Polanisia dodecandra var. riograndensis, Rhynchosida physocalyx, Zinnia acerosa.
