Habitat and Description: Common in calcareous sandy loam on +/- level occasionally mown unshaded roadside underlain by Goliad Formation, at high point on very gently rolling terrain. Associates include Acacia ridigula, Brazoria scutellarioides, Castilleja indivisa, Chamaecrista texana, Delphinium sp., Desmanthus velutinus, Dyschoriste linearis, Engelmannia pinnatifida, Hedyotis nigricans, Hymenopappus sp., Krameria lanceolata, Linum cf. rupestre, Linum rigidum, Lygodesmia texana, Stipa leucotricha.
