Habitat and Description: Annual; common in shallow soil on dry rocky E-facing slope underlain by Chisos Formation limestone-like conglomerate (lower slope) and Tule Mountain trachyandesite porphyry (upper slope), in creosote-lechuguilla desert succulent community. Common woody plants include Larrea tridentata, Agave lechuguilla, Fouquieria splendens, various Echinocereus spp., Opuntia spp. Herbaceous associates include Lupinus havardii, Nerisyrenia camporum, Erioneuron pulchellum, Baileya multiradiata, Dalea neomexicana, Melampodium leucanthum, Perityle vaseyi, Aristida spp., Streptanthus carinatus, Galium proliferum.
