Habitat and Description:
Habit: a bunchy low herb. Habitat: open ground and fields, in sandy clay loam. Annual. Soil: clay. Flowers: axillary from the upper leaves. Color: blue. Leaves: are opposite, ovate, entire, acutish, pale green. Fruit: is a small nearly flat capsule. Bark: green. Roots: fibrous. Occasional in Cameron and Willacy Counties. It prefers sandy loam soil, but occurs in clay loam.
