Habitat and Description: Rare in wet clayey alluvium on seasonally-exposed flat along partially shaded shoreline. Associates include Acnida tamariscina, Ammannia auriculata, Cyperus filiculmis, C. squarrosus, C. strigosus, Eclipta prostrata, Eleocharis parvula, Heliotropium indicum, Ipomoea lacunosa, Justicia americana, Ludwigia palustris, Marsilea sp., Mikania scandens, Neeragrostis reptans, Paspalum distichum, Phyla nodiflora, Pluchea purpurascens, Sagittaria sp., Sesbania vesicaria, Xanthium strumarium.
