Habitat and Description: Common in mesquite shrubland on lighter colored clays on eroded bluffs (old clay dunes?). Associates include Prosopis glandulosa, Isocoma drummondii, Eysenhardtia texana, Jatropha dioica, Zanthoxylum fagara, Acacia rigidula, yucca treculeana, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Celtis pallida, Ericameria austrotexana, Opuntia lindheimeri, Bouteloa rigidiseta, Buchloe dactyloides, Aristida sp., Hedyotis nigricans, Hedeoma drummondii, Oxalis dichondrifolia, Borrichia frutexcens, Calylophus berlandieri, Acheisanthes obtusa, Krameria lanceolata, Dyschoriste linearis, Siphonoglossa pilosella.
