Habitat and Description: Distribution throughout South Texas. Branched spreading, ascending herb. In sandy flats on high grounds near Coast. Perennial. Perennial roots. Leaves alternate, short petiolate, oval-ovate, serrate. Flowers yellow, in terminal panicles. Flowering in the summer. Soil: sand. Abundant on the higher grounds near the coast at the edge of Sand-dunes.
