Habitat and Description: Common in tight saline clay or silt along margin of salt flat in dry bed of large seasonal pond among sand hills on Holocene sand sheet. Associates include Distichlis spicata, Monanthochloe littoralis, Heliotropium curassavicum, Sesuvium erectum, Suaeda, sp., Eustoma exaltatum, Machaeranthera phyllanthoides.
