Habitat and Description: Distributed in S TX, a low bunched grass-like annual herb with perennial roots on open sandy ground. Flowers in terminal spikes, brown. Leaves narrow linear, leafy at base, roots fibrous, creeping. Abundant in moist grounds near the coast.
