Habitat and Description: Open calcareous prairie in full sun; associated with Aristida purpurea, Bothriochloa laguroides, Schizachyrium scoparium, Calylophus berlandieri, Chamaecrista fasciculata, Croton mananthogynus, Gaillardia pulchella, Gutierrezia dracunculoides, Hedyotis nigricans. Dioecious plants. Male.
