Habitat and Description: Rare in openings in deciduous riparian woodland on high sandy / loamy terrace. Woody associates include Acer negundo, Ampelopsis arborea, Campsis radicans, Carya illinoinensis, Celtis laevigata, Condalia hookeri, Cornus drummondii, Crataegus cf. mollis, Diospyros texana, Fraxinus berlandieriana, Melia azedarch, Morus alba, M. rubra, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Populus deltoides, Quercus virginiana, Rubus sp., Salix nigra, Sambucus canadensis, Sapindus saponaria, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, Smilax bona-nox, Toxicodendron sp., Ulmus americana, U. crassifolia, Vitis cinerea, V. mustangensis.
