Locality: United States, Texas, Hidalgo, Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, Rio Grande Valley, 10 mi. (by air) W of McAllen. Elev. 100 ft.
Habitat and Description: Small tree 6-7 m. tall, 67 cm. circ. Flowers white with a sweet fragrance, very strong in evening. Small tree and shrub scrubland on level terrain and banks of ox-bow lakes ("resacas") in "Rio Grande Plains" or "South Texas Plains". Vegetational Area. Assoc.: Prosopis glandulosa, Celtis laevigata, Fraxinus berlandieriana, Acacia farnesiana, Ehretia elliptica, Parkinsonia aculeata, Buddleia sessiliflora.
