Habit: a large or small tree. Habitat: high ground near resacas. Perennial. Soil: clay. Flowers: clusters on tips of twigs. Color: white. Odor: fragrant. Leaves: elliptic, rough to the touch, cuspidate. Fruit: a small drupe. Bark: fissured. Roots: deep seated. A splendid ornamental or shade tree. It produces flowers and fruit twice annually.
