Habitat and Description: Rays white, minute, numerous; rare in deep silty alluvial soil in shallow minor draw between low rolling hills of outwash colluvium within open grassy basin. Woody cover minimal except for a few Yucca elata and small Prosopis glandulosa var. torreyana. Associates include Amphiachyris ticillata, Berlandiera lyrata, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Bouteloua curtipendula, Buddleja scorodioides, Cirsium ochrocentrum, Conyza canadensis, C. coulteri, Croton pottsii, Eryngium heterophyllum, Euphorbia albomarginata, Gaura coccinea, Helianthus annuus, Hilaria swallenii, Machaeranthera sp., Panicum obtusum, Ratibida columnifera.
