Habitat and Description: Locally common in midgrass openings in juniper-oak woodland on rocky slope of Glen Rose Limestone. Associates include Berberis trifoliolata, Bouteloua pectinata, Chamaesyce fendleri, Chrysactinia mexicana, Dyssodiopsis tagetoides, Eleocharis acutisquamata, Marshallia caespitosa, Nolina spp., Rhus virens, Solidago nemoralis.
