Locality: United States, Texas, Brooks, W side of US Rt. 281, ca. 4.2 roadmiles N of crossover to Encino post office, ca. 5.7 roadmiles N of Las Cuates Rd.
Habitat and Description: Occasional in deep loose sand on seldom mown, mostly unshaded roadside through live oak woodland on undulating sand dunes. Associates include Heliotropium sp., Palafoxia sp., Polanisia erosa ssp. breviglandulosa, Croton capitatus, a large dioecious croton, Monarda fruticulosa, Richardia brasiliense.
