Habitat and Description: Common in fine sandy loam over Goliad Formation, on mostly unshaded edges of truck road through mesquite-granjeno woodland in dry bottom of shallow narrow drainage. Associates include Argemone sanguinea, Buchloe dactyloides, Cenchrus spinifex, Chloris cucullata, Convolvulus equitans, Croton lindheimerianus, Daucus pusillus, Dyssodia tenuiloba, Glandularia quandrangulata, Guara brachycarpa, Justicia pilosella, Lepidium lasiocarpum, Lesquerella lasiocarpa, Linum berlandieri, Nama hispidum, Nerisyrenia camporum, Nyctaginea capitata, Oenothera laciniata, O. cf. rosea, Palafoxia texana, Pennisetum ciliare, Psilostrophe gnaphalioides, Rhynchosida physocalyx, Sphaeralcea pedatifida, Tridens texanus, Verbena plicata.
