Locality: United States, Texas, Live Oak, Just inside (SW of) gate at entrance to Jim Williams property, N side of Ramirena Creek, ca. 1.0 roadmiles SW of Co. Rd. 107 from a point 3.3 roadmiles NW of its jct. with Co. Rd. 164, roughly 3 airmiles N of Anna Rose. Elm Creek Quadrangle. Elev. 290 - 300 ft.
Habitat and Description: Occasional in crusted sandy loam in openings in mesquite-mixed brush shrubland on gentle upper slope underlain by Fleming Formation (Miocene) or calichified Holocene sand. Associates include Abutilon wrightii, A. fruticosum, Acalypha radians, Ambrosia confertiflora, Boerhavia coccinea, Cassia aristellata, Cordia podocephala, Croton monanthogynus, C. capitatus, Dyssodia tenuiloba, Florestina tripteris, Froelichia gracilis, Galactia heterophylla, Gutierrezia texana, Indigofera miniata, Kallstroemeria parviflora, Oxalis dichondrifolia, Parthenium hysterophorus, Pediomelum rhombifolium, Phyllanthus abnormis, Rhynchosia americana, Rivina humilis, Sida abutifolia, Simsia calva, Verbesina microptera.
