Habitat and Description: Common in shallow soil on dry rocky slope underlain by Chisos Formation limestone-like conglomerate (lower slopes) and Tule Mountain trachyandesite porphyry (upper slope) in creosote-lechuguilla desert succulent community on various exposures. Common woody plants include Larrea tridentata, Agave lechuguilla, Fouquieria splendens, Echinocereus spp., Opuntia spp. Herbaceous associates include Lupinus havardii, Nerisyrenia camposum, Erioneuron pulchellum, Baileya multiradiata, Dalea neomexicana, Perityle vaseyi, Aristida spp.
