Habitat and Description: Occasional in gravelly to rocky clay or clay loam in shrubland dominated by Acacia berlandieri and Leucophyllum frutescens on level to gently sloping colluvium or valley fill. Other associates include Bouteloua hirsuta, Croton dioicus, Diospyros texana, Echinocereus sp., Linum rigidum, Parietaria obtusa, Salvia texana, Sophora secundiflora, Thamnosma texanum, Tridens muticus, Verbena canescens.
