Habitat and Description: Shrub to 3-4 ft. tall; frequent on fairly steep, W-facing sandstone and caliche bluff and talus slope. Associates include Acacia berlandieri, A. rigidula, Bernardia myricifolia, Castela texana, Celtis pallida, Cercidium texanum, Croton incanus, C. humilis, Guaiacum angustifolium, Helietta parvifolia, Hibiscus cardiophyllus, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Lippia graveolens, Meximalva filipes, Prosopis glandulosa.
