United States, Texas, Walker, City of Huntsville. Feeder road of I-45 (east side), about 100 yards N of jct. with College Farm Road (Aberdeen).
Habitat and Description:
Low area off roadside, over clay. Large population (ca. 100 stems); plants mostly 0.8-1.2 meters tall, single from the base, unbranched up to the capitulescence. Some heads with mature fruits. Stems and leaves very brittle.
