Habitat and Description: Habit: a tall, slender, erect herb. Habitat: open ground and fields. Annual. Soil: sandy loam. Flowers: are on a long terminal stem. Color: yellow rays. Odor: none. Month: Apr.-May. Leaves: very finely dissected, few, dark green. Bark: green. Roots: fibrous. Occasional. A very showy annual composite.
