Habitat and Description: Aromatic shrublet 1-2 ft. tall; disk and ray flowers yellow; local in duff-covered stony clay loam on rocky limestone slope, in fairly deep shade of Ashe juniper-oak woodland. Associates include Juniperus ashei, Quercus fusiformia, Sophora secundiflora, Yucca rupicola, Chaetopappa effusa, Viguiera dentata, Argythamnia aphoroides, Verbesina lindeimeri, Stillingia texana, Schizachyrium scoparium.
