Habitat and Description: Rare in slightly moister spot in little bluestem dominated coastal prairie remnant on somewhat poorly drained, medium acid clay Vertisols (Lake Charles Series). Associates include Baptisia sphaerocarpa, Cacalia sp., Carex sp., Centella asiatica, Cirsium horridulum, Dichanthelium sp., Eleocharis sp., Eryngium yuccifolium, Fimbristylis cf. puberula, Juncus marginatus, Muhlenbergia capillaris, Myrica heterophylla, Panicum virgatum, Paspalum floridanum, Rudbeckia sp., Schizachyrium scoparium, Scleria sp., Sorghastrum nutans, Spartina patens, Tridens strictus, Verbena rigida, V. brasiliense.
