Habitat and Description: Occasional in very shallow gravelly clay loam over Goodland Limestone on hilltop, grassland grazed to shortgrass phase. Associates include Buchloe dactyloides, Bouteloua rigidiseta, Stipa leucotricha, Limnodea arkansana, Aristida sp., Bifora americana, Salvia texana, Lesquerella gracilis, Liatris punctata, Hedyotis nigricans, Eriogonum longifolium, Castilleja purpurea var. purpurea, Stillingia texana.
