Habitat and Description: Occasional. Associates include Andropogon gerardii, Bouteloua curtipendula, Carex microdonta, Elymus canadensis, Eriochloa sericea, Pancium virtgatum, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sorhastrum nutans, Stipa leucotricha, Astragalus crassicarpus, Cacalia plantaginea,Camassia scilloides, Castilleha purpurea var. purpurea, Centaurea americana, Echinacea angustifolia, Hedyotis nigricans, Helianthus maximiliani, Liatris punctata, Nemastylis geminiflora, Penstemon cobaea, Polytaenia sp., Salvia azurea, Silphium laciniatum.
