Habitat and Description: Rare in grassland component of mequite savanna on deep sand of gently undulating landscape. Associates include Aphanostehus skirrhobasis, Aristida sp., Brazoria arenaria, Bulbostylis capillaris, Commelina erecta, Coreopsis nuecensoides, Croptilon divaricatum, Croton argyranthemus, Dichanthelium, nodatum, Digitaria cognata, Eragrostis sessilispica, Gaillardia amblyodon, helianthemum georgianum, Helianthus debilis, Linaria texana, Linum alatum, Schizachyrium scoparium, sporobolus purpurascens.
