Habitat and Description: Occasional in thorn shrubland on shallow stony calcareous clay or sandy clay on rocky lower slope of low but conspicuous hill of sandstone of Yegua Formation. Associates include Acacia rigidula, Atriplex sp., Bouteloua trifida, Castela erecta, Chamaesyce albomarginata, Forestiera angustifolia, Guaiacum angustifolium, Hibiscus martianus, Hilaria belangeri, Jatropha dioica, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Leucophyllum frutescens, Lippia graveolens, phaulothamnus spinescens, Varilla texana, Viguiera stenoloba, Wedelia hispida, Xylothamia palmeri and various cacti.
