Habitat and Description:
Locally abundant in moist sandy to clayey alluvium in shaded bed of intermittent stream through pine-oak forest. Geology: Eagle Ford Formation (Cretaceous). Soils: deep, well drained, medium acid, fine sandy loam Glossic Paleudalfs (Whakana Series).
