Habitat and Description: Rare, local, in very shallow clay or clay loam in pits on Edwards Limestone exposed at surface on level ridgetop. Associates include Paronychia drummondii, Sedum nuttallianum, Leptochloa dubia, Bouteloua trifida, Parthenium confertum, Croton monanthogynus, Leptoloma cognatum, Tridens muticus var. muticus, Sporobolus asper var. drummondii, Panicum hallii.
