Habitat and Description: Common in graminoid-dominated grassland on moist, somewhat heavy-textured loam, unshaded, occasionally mown (or shredded) pipeline easement. Associates include Carex cherokeensis, C. brittoniana, C. cf. vulpinoidea, Eleocharis spp., Scleria triglomerata, Juncus marginatus, J. acuminatus, J. interior, Andropogon glomeratus, Sphenopholis obtusata, Stipa leucotricha, Micromeria brownei, Limnosciadium pumilum, Ranunculus pusillus, Cacalia plantaginea, Galium tinctorium, Asclepias viridis, Cirsium horridulum, Marsilea sp.
