Habitat and Description: Common in sparsely vegetated, slightly elevated, sandy and perhaps somewhat saline "slick spots" (very low, mima mounds) on otherwise poorly drained, neutral, dark loamy Clodine soils (Typic Ochraqualfs), in grassland/sedgeland on nearly level coastal prairie. Associates include Hymenoxys texana, Gratiola flava, Tillaea aquatica, Elatine brachysperma, Centunculus minimus, Plantago hybrida, Ammoselinum butleri, Agrostis elliottiana, Euphorbia spthulata, Sagina decumbens, Scirpus koilolepis, Hedyotis crassifolia, Hordeum pussillum.
