Habitat and Description: 28 plants in graded Cuthbert stony fine sandy loam (Typic Hapludults), edge of pine-hardwood forest on steep slope. Associates include Carpinus caroliniana, Carya sp., Cornus florida, Liquidambar styraciflua, Nyssa sylvatica, Pinus echinata, Quercus alba, Quercus nigra, Quercus sp. (Q. shumardii?), Rhus toxicodendron, Aster lateriflorus, Desmodium laevigatum, Elephantopus carolinianus, Elymus sp., Lactuca sp., Solidago delicatula, Tridens flavus.
