Habitat and Description: Rare in open areas in ungrazed mesquite savanna on deep loose sand/fine sand on hummocky upland underlain by Holocene windblown deposits, SW end of Hancock Ranch. Associates include Allium runyonii, Aristida sp., Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Brachiaria ciliatissima, Chamaecrista texana, Dyssodia tephroleuca, Eragrostis secundiflora, Gaillardia pulchella, Herissantia crispa, Houstonia correllii, Lesquerella lindheimeri, Linum sp., Matelea parviflora, Ratibida peduncularis, Scutellaria muriculata, Tetragonatheca repanda, Tetraneuris linearifolia var. arenicola, Zornia bracteata.
