Habitat and Description: Occasional in sandy loam on mima (pimple) mounds and surrounding coastal prairie dominated by Schizachyrium scoparium. Assc. include Baptisia sphaerocarpon, B. leucophaea, Cyperus pseudovegetus, Euthamia spp., Eryngium yuccifolium, Gaura lindheimeri, Helenium flexuosum, Helianthus angustifolius, Ipomaea sagittata, Juncus brachycarpus, J. marginatus, Liatris sp., Linum medium var. texanum, Muhlenbergia capillaris, Paspalum plicatulum, Rhynchospora caduca, Rudbeckia hirta, Ruellia humilis, Sabatia campestris, Schizachyrium scoparium, Spartina spartinae, Tephrosia onobrychoides.
